A bride in a gold satin dress with a gold embroidered veil stands against a vivid blue sky

A Jane Austen Inspired Bridal Session

Portraits

I have wanted to photograph at Topsmead State Forest since I stumbled across their website in early 2023. Somehow, I never had the opportunity, so this winter I decided to make one. Topsmead has everything that makes my heart pitter patter – a stone wall against a tree covered lane, a beautiful English style cottage, and a pond with a small thicket of forsythia nearby…

A couple sitting on a huge rock on the rocky shore of the Oregon Coast on an overcast day

Pacific City, Oregon – Drew & Emily

Portraits

I have been photographing Emily & Drew for the past few years – starting with their engagement and wedding photos in 2022, and most recently a “anniversary” session in 2024 when I was on the Oregon Coast for work. They asked me for styling advice, and we decided to lean into a vintage classic look…

Two Brides getting ready at a 17th century Inn in the historical Gloucester Massachusetts on their elopement day

Uni & Yas: Cape Ann Editorial Elopement

Elopement

Uni and Yas are a real, madly in love, share love notes and special moments, real couple. They aren’t models – just two humans who wanted to create something beautiful and special together, that I connected with, who decided to make this day as real as possible. We started by getting ready at the William Haskell House in Gloucester – a historic Inn built in 1680, and still nearly in the same condition as it was when it was constructed during the First Colonial Period. From brunch in the dining room, to getting ready in the upstairs bedrooms – this hauntingly beautiful 17th century lodging was the perfect way to set the mood for our cold and overcast elopement day…

Tennis Hall of Fame – Bridal Session

Portraits

There has been a lot of discourse this year on if it’s ethical to include images from styled sessions in your portfolio. So let’s start with a disclaimer – this bridal session was a styled session, that I participated in so that I could work at a new venue in a new to me state…

NYC Elopement: Editorial Inspiration

Elopement

As soon as we decided to relocated to the east coast, and I knew we would be living near New York City, I decided two things. 1) I would need to visit because NYC has so many incredible places I’d been hearing about my whole life (museums, art galleries, restaurants…) and 2) I would need to photograph weddings and elopements there. Obviously breaking into a well-saturated NYC market when you haven’t ever photographed in the city before isn’t the easiest thing ever – so I took matters into my own hands, and went to the city armed with these beautiful humans, Nicole from Good Vibes Beauty Co, wedding clothes from Julie Allen Bridals, and some stunning florals from The Dirt Empress, as well as a huge nod to one of my favorite stationary companies: Oblation Papers out of Oregon….
