A romantic dreamy couples maternity session on the Oregon Coast, near Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City. This session is dear to my heart, as it’s my friends Seran and Kyle, who are expecting their first. This editorial and soft session highlights their love as they prepare for their first child

Thankfully, July on the Oregon Coast doesn’t just have gorgeous light (peep those sunbeams through the trees.. I die), but it also has gorgeous weather. Which meant despite their heat index reading high, we had lovely 75 degree weather for this session.

There’s a point where you know so many locations that meet the criteria, that you almost get overwhelmed trying to pick one. I kept running through my head – moss (check), fairytale light (check), forest (check) but eventually I figured out I was overcomplicating it. Rather than drive 15-20 minutes on some backroad, I remembered there is this absolutely stunning mossy little spot, just near Devils Lake in Lincoln City, that always has the best light. And it fit Rachael and Mick’s vibe exactly.

There’s nothing quite like a frigid February day at the beach – and despite these photos looking beautiful and sunny, I’ll tell you that wind was cutting through us as we walked. Nonetheless – Francesco’s proposal to Ashley, and subsequent engagement session at Napatree Point made for a beautiful evening.
Located near Mystic, Connecticut just across the Rhode Island border, Napatree is a stunning conservation area and beach. With only a few other people at the beach; we had the wide expanse of sand and dunes nearly to ourselves for a beautiful private session. The sun was definitely a paid actor, and the insanely gorgeous sunset was a perfect background as Ashley and Francesco danced on the beach, walked together, and cuddled in the sand dunes…

I have been photographing Emily & Drew for the past few years – starting with their engagement and wedding photos in 2022, and most recently a “anniversary” session in 2024 when I was on the Oregon Coast for work. Uni and Yas are a real, madly in love, share love notes and special moments, real couple. They aren’t models – just two humans who wanted to create something beautiful and special together, that I connected with, who decided to make this day as real as possible. We started by getting ready at the William Haskell House in Gloucester – a historic Inn built in 1680, and still nearly in the same condition as it was when it was constructed during the First Colonial Period. From brunch in the dining room, to getting ready in the upstairs bedrooms – this hauntingly beautiful 17th century lodging was the perfect way to set the mood for our cold and overcast elopement day…

Almost 18 months of planning went into this insanely beautiful wedding – and I got to be there every step of the way – as photographer, coordinator, florist, and friend. Kayla and I worked hand in hand, along with Tim’s frequent input, to put together their perfect small wedding at the Branford House in Groton, CT. Simple elegant florals that only highlighted the buildings beautiful architecture, as veritable feast, and an intimate get together that focused on who the couple was instead of just following tradition…

Kayla and Tim decided they wanted to have an intimate micro-wedding the week before their bigger wedding, at their Southbury home. So, on September 15, I met them at their gorgeous house tucked away in the woods on the edge of town – where I spent an hour with this stunning couple documenting their backyard wedding with their immediate families and closest friends. They had flowers from the bride’s grandmother, got ready in their own room, and legally exchanged vows in their yard, right next to their garden…
